Nothing really excites our kids quite like computers. Which is why we’re so excited about the computer lab we’re setting up at HSS. In the past, power has been our biggest limitation. With our solar equipment on the way and scheduled to arrive this month, we plan to have our new computer lab operating by January 2011.
We want to thank the Los Angeles office of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom, for donating 15 CPUs to HOCET Secondary School! While we wait for our solar power equipment, the desktops are set up in the Kujali staff house for our Form IV graduate program, Maendeleo. This is the first formal computer training our twelve graduating students have ever received. They’re asking lots of questions, diligently taking notes, and staying late after class to get extra practice in. One student, Cornelli, copied down a keyboard on a piece of paper so he could practice typing at home. We love it. We love it!
