We’re excited to share that we’ve hired our full-time Counselor for Kujali New School!  After reviewing applications, interviewing a number of candidates, and hosting a “trial” introductory counseling session with finalists and several Kujali students, we are thrilled to announce that we have selected Sakina Abdallah to join our team!  Sakina will be leading Kujali’s efforts to develop and implement Kujali’s youth counseling, mentoring, and health education programs and services.

Sakina is a professional social worker and counselor who holds a B.A. in Social Work from the Institute of Social Work in Tanzania.  Sakina has experience providing counseling and training to youth while serving as a Village Educator for an international non-profit. She also has experience in mediation and reconciliation in legal contexts, as well as counseling individuals with psychological problems.  Sakina is passionate about helping people grow and become their best selves.  As a mother herself, she is particularly interested in working with young people and helping them find their own pathways to a healthy and fulfilling life.
